St. Mary’s Feast and Onam Celebration 

St. Mary’s Convent & Public School celebrated St. Mary’s Feast & Onam, a harvest festival of Kerala with much enthusiasm.  The principal, Mrs. Chandra lighted the candles seeking the blessings of ‘Mother Mary’.  Tiny tots of nursery sang the hymns of Mother Mary mesmerizingly.

The day’s program began with an opening and welcome note by Mrs. Minu Biju. Students and teachers were dressed in Kerala ethnic wear added grandeur to the festivity.  The staff and high school students performed a graceful Thiruvathira Kali to demonstrate the joy and spirit of togetherness that the festival brings out. Flower carpets (Pookalam), songs and speech added hues to the celebration.

The Principal, Mrs. Chandra, addressed the gathering and lauded the performance of the staff and students. She also appreciated the staff, who took initiative for organizing the event and thanked everyone for making the program a memorable one.
