World Environment Day Celebration – 2025
Theme: “Beat Plastic Pollution”
St. Mary’s Convent & Public School celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a shared commitment to environmental responsibility. This year’s global theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution”, served as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to reduce plastic usage and protect our planet. The celebration was marked by a series of impactful student performances:
- State Board High School: Presented a compelling skit titled ‘Nature’s Breath’, beautifully portraying the splendour of nature and the destructive consequences of human negligence. The performance concluded with a vibrant dance that creatively spread the message of environmental awareness and action.
- ICSE High School: Performed an insightful skit titled ‘The Hidden Costs’, highlighting the long-term damage caused by pollution and emphasizing the importance of saying “No to Plastic.” Their performance sparked thought and inspired action among the audience.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Mrs. Chandra encouraged students, staff, and parents to embrace eco-friendly habits in daily life and contribute meaningfully towards a cleaner, greener planet. The event served as a valuable reminder of our collective responsibility to nurture and protect the environment — not just on World Environment Day, but every day.
